Program: Gardening in Containers
When: Saturday, April 22 (Earth Day 2017)
12:00 to 2:00PM
Where: Lake City Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall
3841 NE 123rd Street, Seattle
Come for good food, great conversation and a program that will inspire your green thumb. Bring family, friends or neighbors or just come and meet some neighbors. We will gather at noon and start lunch shortly thereafter. Please bring a food item to share, if convenient. Beverages will be provided. At about 1:00PM we will start the program. If you like flowers or herbs, but an in-ground garden just seems like too much work, gardening in containers may be the answer. They are fun to do with children and grandchildren; they require less bending and no shovels; maintenance is easy; and weeds, slugs and bugs are seldom a problem. WSU Master Gardener, Holly Kennell, will demonstrate how to plant a mixed pot that could beautify your balcony, patio or front step all summer.
