The Rev. Dr. Jesse G. Mabanglo

Dear Friends,

We are pleased to announce that at our session meeting on January 7, a motion was passed that the session of Lake City Presbyterian Church invite the Rev. Jesse Mabanglo, member in good standing in the Presbytery of Seattle, to serve as Pastor (Moderator, and Head of Staff) in a temporary pastoral relationship in accordance with the Book of Order. The following is a short biography about Jesse.

Rev. Dr. Jesse G. Mabanglo

Jesse grew up mostly in the San Francisco Bay Area, but considers the Northwest his home base. He received his BA from Chico State University, his M.Div. from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and his D.Min. from Fuller Theological Seminary. And if that wasn’t enough, he found time to do a year of graduate work at Princeton Theological Seminary. He has served churches in California, Oregon, Washington, and Virginia. Most recently, he had served as the Associate Transitional Pastor at West Side Presbyterian Church in Seattle.

Jesse’s pastoral ministry is centered in a desire to bring together the vivacity of the mind, heart and soul with the love of God. He is energized by talking to people who are asking who Jesus is, and fulfilled by building and experiencing community. In his own words, “it spins his prop” when he is able to encourage intentional leadership. Jesse is married to Eyde Mabanglo, also a Presbyterian pastor. They have two great kids, Eddie (22) Jessica (20). When not engaged in the deep satisfying work of ministry, you can find Jesse fly fishing in some unnamed stream chasing wily trout, or working wood for his next project, or at a local Starbucks absorbed in conversation, or just hanging out with Team Mabanglo.

Please join us in welcoming Jesse to Lake City Presbyterian.

Kathy Babinec,

Clerk of Session
