Meet Our Staff

Sandy Hackett

Pastor

Sandy came to Lake City Presbyterian in 2010 after 20 years as an associate pastor in large congregations. She loves serving this smaller church now, where she can know people’s names and hear their stories. She brings to us large church preaching gifts, a joyful sense of humor, and a globetrotting husband who is also a Presbyterian pastor. Sandy and Dave have three adult daughters who give them reason to admire work being done with the technology industry, the gay community and the University of Washington.  Contact her at sandy@lakecitypres.org or 206-362-6878 x201.

Leena Prindle

Resource Director for Kids (Children & Teens)

Leena brings 18 years of church ministry experience to complement her B.A. degree in Youth and Family Ministry from Trinity Lutheran College. She is mom to two elementary-aged girls, and wife to a euphonium-playing engineer. She understands the genius of small church ministry with families, where kids and parents share life and learning all together. Her gifts to our church include creativity with curriculum and social-media management. Leena is also currently pursuing a Masters in Divinity at Seattle Pacific Seminary (at Seattle Pacific University).

Ally McCombs

Support Services Manager

Ally McCombs our Support Services Manager comes to us from the hospitality industry but has been a member of our congregation for over 8 years.  She would love to help you book space at our church for your next event! In her spare time, Ally is a mom, wife, singer, knitter and spends a good deal of time in her kitchen cooking! Contact her at  support@lakecitypres.org or 206-362-6878 x214

Kathy Barnett

Organist

Kathy has led our church music ministry for 30+ years.  She is multi-talented, playing organ and piano, singing, and coaching great music out of volunteer choirs, soloists, and music team leaders.  Beyond the music she makes, Kathy’s gift to our church is calling out talent from everyone, even younger kids how to share their music with the congregation.  Her husband and three adult daughters share the family love for music, and she has fun with two young granddaughters.  Contact her at worship@lakecitypres.org  or leave a message at 206-362-6878

Irv Kellenberger

Facilities Manager

Irv is a professional saxophone player, married to a talented soprano, who makes this facility a welcoming place for our congregation and the many community groups who utilize our space. Things are always clean around here, chairs are set up for every event, and he is on hand to run the sound board when we need him.  His gifts to our church include crafting occasional worship services around a wide variety of musical styles and rocking the tenor saxophone. Contact him at facilities@lakecitypres.org or 206-369-4665

Brenda Charles

Church Secretary & Bookkeeper

Brenda honed her welcoming and organizational skills during 27 years as a flight attendant, keeping even demanding first class passengers happy while flying around the world. Now, she makes it look easy to organize our office, curate the calendar, and pay the bills that keep us in business. Her gifts to our church include the perspective she provides us from years involved in other congregations, including  Antioch Ministry, where her husband is now the pastor.
