Facility Support/Custodial Position

This is a part-time, hourly position, working a minimum of 10 hours per week performing routine custodial duties as assigned by the Facility Manager.  Scheduled hours will normally be on Fridays and Saturdays to provide a staff presence in the building when occasional meetings are held on those days.  Additional hours may be assigned when large events are held at the church requiring extra custodial services.

Responsibilities will include, but are not be limited to:  routine custodial duties, vacuuming, restroom cleaning, floor mopping, dusting, running commercial dishwasher and other specific cleaning as assigned.  Set-up for and clean-up after special events such as weddings, memorial service receptions, meetings and other scheduled events will be included in duties.  Other work may be assigned as needed.

The position requires candidate to be in good physical condition with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, move furniture/equipment, and climb ladders, as examples.  Good customer service skills and ability to establish positive interactions with building occupants and guests is required.

This position will be directly supervised by the Facility Manager.  Successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 – 5 years of applicable custodial experience and a demonstrated ability to work independently with applicable event experience as described.
